I can’t believe we are in the month of May. The time is going by so quickly. I was able to read eleven books in April, which I consider good. I am not sure I can do more, but I will see how this month goes.
I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and read a book that is outside of my usual genre. I am 70% into the book and I have no regrets.
It happens without warning: At a folk-rock show at her son’s college, Lily becomes transfixed by the guitarist’s unassuming onstage presence and beautiful playing―and with his final note, something within her breaks loose.
After the concert, Lily returns to her comfortable life―an Upper West Side apartment, a job as a videographer, and a kind if distracted husband―but she can’t stop thinking about the music, or about the duo’s guitarist, JJ. Unable to resist the pull of either one, she rashly offers to make a film about the band in order to gain a place with them on tour. But when Lily dares to step out from behind her camera, she falls deep into JJ’s world―upsetting the tenuous balance between him and his bandmate, and filling a chasm of need she didn’t know she had.
Captivating and provocative, Play for Me captures the thrill and heartbreak of deciding to leave behind what you love to follow what you desire.

On Edge sounds pretty intense!
For What It’s Worth
It was not a bad story.
Play for me sounds intriguing.
I nice mix of books there. The synopsis for Play For Me is interesting. Sounds like a good read. I am currently reading the Simplicty of Apple Cider, just started it, finished last night Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens and I am listening to Lemon Pies and Little White Lies.
Never Let You Go looks interesting. Hope you are enjoying the ones you are currently reading.
Oh like the mix of books. I like to mix them up myself. You did well in April! I’m trying to read but things are getting in the way. I will be back in the swing of things soon!
Sounds good
Oh fun! Lets see, I just finished an ARC of Wildfire, am now reading The Lake House and will more than likely start Ash & Quill after I’m done with The Lake House, but that could change. 😉
11 books in a month is AWESOME, Nadene. I only made it 8 last month. Wow, you seem to have had an awesome month. I hope you enjoy the books you’re currently reading and planning to read this month. Happy reading! ?
Thanks Geybie. Yes I did. I think it had lot to with me having a few days off from work so I had more time to dedicate to reading.
Real Dirty please 😀 😀 😀
Yay for stepping out of your zone. Always worthwhile I think even if it doesn’t pan out. That one looks very good!
I love the cover of Play for Me… and it really does sound like a great read!
Thanks for visiitng my WWW 🙂
Wow, that is different..I am assuming there is cheating as she is married. Grr, I like dark but always balk at that. The Boyfriend looks interesting!
Yes, Kim there was definitely cheating, I was hoping it didn’t go that way, but I guess we don’t always get what we want.
I have enjoyed Meghan March in the past. I hope you love all of your upcoming reads!
I don’t know about your reading book but curious to see your review about it
