“You shouldn’t have come here. You’ll be sorry.” Annie stares at the note, her hands shaking. If the killer has followed her, how will she ever escape?
When Annie Logan’s senses—gifted to her by her Creole heritage—tell her she must travel to Louisiana to save someone in danger, she doesn’t hesitate. Her sisters tell her it isn’t safe to return to their mother’s birthplace, but Annie knows she must help the woman whose voice she hears in her dreams each night…
When she arrives, a string of murders have taken place, and each victim bears an uncanny resemblance to Annie. Instantly, she knows this is no coincidence, and that the killer they call Shadow is trying to send her a twisted message. And when Annie discovers a family connection between her and one of the victims, she feels more frightened than ever. Was it a mistake to return to the origin of her family’s gifts, and is that why she’s being targeted?
Terrified, Annie journeys deep into the bayou, hoping to escape the killer. But when a note appears outside her remote cabin, she knows Shadow has followed her. And although she can’t see anyone among the mosses and trees of the bayou, she knows that its thick mists can hide anything.
Desperate, Annie reaches out to the only women who can save her sisters and her grandmother. But as the Logan women arrive in the bayou, are they already too late to prevent the next attack? And even with their gifts, can they stop a killer as elusive and twisted as Shadow?

“Without A Trace” marks the exhilarating finale of the Logan Sisters series. In this gripping installment, Annie Logan, an artist living in Italy, ventures to her mother’s hometown where she embarks on a quest to unearth long-buried family secrets. While on this quest, she finds herself embroiled in a treacherous mission. A mission where she attempts to stop a stalker/killer who preys on young girls, who bear an uncanny appearance to Annie herself. The author delivered a tale filled with suspense and mystery. A story where Annie unearths the secrets of her family’s past while trying to prevent a sinister outcome.

The story was a rollercoaster of suspense and danger, skillfully crafted to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. While the identity of the killer became apparent quite early, the plot’s twists and turns captivated me until the very last page. The anticipation of the murderer’s subsequent actions kept me thoroughly invested in the story.

Diving into this book without spoilers is a must. It’s a journey that should be embarked upon with fresh eyes. Readers of books one and two will find themselves captivated by the unexpected twists. Also, the revelation of family secrets will leave them eager for more.

‘Without A Trace’ delivers a thrilling ride from start to finish, concluding the series with a skillful touch. Readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats, eagerly turning pages until the very end. This book not only provides an exhilarating experience but also ties up the story threads in a satisfying conclusion.

About Peggy Webb

Peggy Webb is the USA Today best-selling author of more than 100 novels in numerous genres, including the reader favourite crime thriller, Snow Brides, and the acclaimed literary fiction novel The Sweetest Hallelujah – written under her pen name Elaine Hussey and compared to Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. Her current crime thrillers combine the addictive quality of Snow Brides with the lyrical writing of her literary works, which the late, great Pat Conroy called “astonishing.” Peggy is a former adjunct instructor of writing at Mississippi State University and has won numerous awards, including a prestigious Pioneer Award for creating the sub-genre of romantic comedy, numerous Reviewers Choice Awards, multiple Word Weaving Awards for Excellence, and a submission for the Pulitzer. With more than three million books in print in numerous languages and countries, Peggy’s love of writing goes back to her roots in northeast Mississippi, where she grew up on a farm and fell in love with words by reading everything she could get her hands on while sitting in her daddy’s hayloft. Peggy is an accomplished pianist and singer, and has starred in numerous roles in her local community theatre, including M’Lynn (the Sally Field role) from Steel Magnolias, and The White Witch from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Her love of theatre and music shines through her novels.  She is known for her chilling, filmic scenes, and her latest crime thriller features blues lyrics she composed and credited to one of her characters. She has co-written screenplays for two of her novels, and is active with the Film Festival in her hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi, which is also the birthplace of Elvis. Peggy’s love of both writing and music is so strong, she says, “I hear the music of words in every novel I write.” You can hear her discuss the link between the two arts in her music videos on Facebook, and you can visit her website.
